COVID-19 RESPONSE

Opla Energy has implemented a detailed outbreak management plan for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) that impacts people, operations, and supply chains worldwide.

At Opla, the health and safety of our employees and communities are essential. We are constantly monitoring the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and the following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and health experts.

We are taking proactive steps to mitigate the risk of exposure for our employees, clients, contractors, and partners. As efforts to contain the virus continue to evolve worldwide, Opla Energy is doing its part to help combat the issue.

GENERAL AND SPECIFIC PREVENTIVE MEASUREMENTS

We are taking responsible steps as a company to identify potential workplace impacts, work with official local institutions, industry peers, clients, and service providers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We feel confident that by adopting the following General and Specific Preventive Measures, we can protect the health and well-being of our most valuable asset: our employees.

PEOPLE SAFETY

The Health and Safety of our personnel, as well as maintaining business continuity with our clients and service providers in the safest and most efficient manner, is our priority.

Remote Work

Social Distancing
When employees cannot do the work remotely and need to come to the office or shop, we exercise a strict physical distancing policy. Employees are also advised to adopt physical distancing and other preventive measures outside work.
Self-Quarantine
Opla monitors and will strictly follow public health orders of the Government of Alberta, should circumstances requiring self-quarantine occur.
Travel Restrictions
Opla has developed an Essential Travel Safety Protocol that will help our employees to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19. This protocol includes complying with quarantine requirements by local authorities and all non-essential travel is advised to be avoided.
